Getting Your Body Ready For Pregnancy With Cleansing And Detoxification

Undergoing a pregnancy is one of the hardest things you can go through as a woman. It is important to ensure that your body is physically fit in every aspect in order to ensure that your pregnancy goes on smoothly and the baby is healthy. While planning to do a detox before your pregnancy, it is important to decide how.

Exposure to toxins that may occur due to our environment, the effects of unhealthy diets, are all factors that need to be rectified before you conceive a baby. Our world is a toxic soup with pollutants such as dioxin involved which can even affect the storage in body tissues.

Water has also become highly polluted due to various factors. Taking all of this into consideration, it can be established that a regular course of prenatal vitamins alone is not sufficient to prepare your body for such an event.

Effects of toxicity in mothers

If a mother exposed to similar conditions in her day to day life gives birth to a baby before she cleanses her body, the chances are high for the baby to develop allergies and even be allergic to breastmilk which can affect their growth. Other issues that can develop are autoimmune issues, behavioral problems, and excessive tantrums in babies born with high toxic contents in their blood.

Pre-pregnancy detox regimen: Wheatgrass juice

While there are different ways to cleanse your body, regular consumption of wheatgrass juice can bring about miracles in terms of cleansing. It is a rich source of a variety of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and enzymes. In addition to this, it is also an extremely safe way to detox the body without risking a kidney stone or any oxalate build-up which is harmful to health.

Fermented foods

The human stomach forms home to a million healthy microbial organisms that are integral to the process of digestion. This gut flora needs to replenish itself and grow which will also prevent the growth of unhealthy microbes in the stomach, hence keeping the body healthy.

Regular consumption of fermented foods can encourage the growth of these organisms and also prove to be a rich source of enzymes as well as healthy bacteria. Studies also stand as proof that children who consume lacto-fermented vegetables were found to be less prone to problems such as asthma, skin problems, and autoimmune disorders.

Saturated fat

Exposure to dioxin can also affect the milk-producing genes in a woman's body as it has an impact on breastfeeding. Vitamin A found in saturated fats from animals can play a huge role in preventing the body being affected by environmental pollutants.

Hence it is ideal for a woman to consume grass-fed dairy and other animal fat products in a generous quantity while preparing for pregnancy.

Cleansing baths

Immersing yourself in a bath filled with Epsom salts and magnesium flakes can greatly aid in detoxifying the body by getting rid of unwanted toxins through the skin and the gut.  You can also have a bath once a week with baking soda and salt for half an hour to help eliminate the effects of any radiation exposure to the body.
